Solar Photovoltaic multi functional coatings

Kriya Materials offers a true multi-functional coating which can be applied on solar glass. These coatings are applied by conventional roller coating machines, and dried and tempered thereafter.

After tempering these coatings provide;

  • Anti reflection, offering up to 3% more energy generated
  • Anti dust, offering reduced soiling, which in test have proven to be  3 to 4 times easier to clean and provide 10% more current even in soiled conditions
  • Hotspot prevention, the reduction of hotspot formation means less hot spots, which again have a positive effect on the efficiency of your  photovoltaic modules.

Kriya Materials offers with these coatings a unique offering, which has at multiple areas effect on the Leveled Cost of Energy, as well explained in the following diagram as posted on Wikipedia;

Note: caution must be taken when using formulas for the levelized cost, as they often embody unseen assumptions, neglect effects like taxes, and may be specified in real or nominal levelized cost. For example, other versions of the above formula do not discount the electricity stream. The real lifetime may be considerably longer or shorter than expected.
