Our multifunctional coating for photovoltaic solar panels are applied during the cover glass production process and, after tempering, are 100% inorganic.

The coating offers the industry standard anti-reflection performance, up to 3% more light, while also providing a permanent and durable anti-soiling effect. The anti-soiling effect is developed for the panels once installed outdoors as it prevents dust settling on the panel which in turn reduces hot spots from forming and thereby improves energy generation. The anti-soiling property is especially valuable for dry and arid climates where sand and dust is present.

In extreme cases, we have seen solar panel installations with efficiency losses of up to 25% due to soiling, which is reduced by our multifunctional coating.
