Automotive Coatings
Two coating families, one supplier. Kriya delivers ATO nanoparticle dispersions for solar heat control across windshields, side glass and panoramic roofs — and PFAS-free anti-reflective coatings tuned for head-up displays, LIDAR sensor covers and ADAS camera windows. All chemistry is bottom-up synthesised, RF and 5G transparent, and validated by European and Japanese Tier-1 suppliers.
Why automotive is a core Kriya vertical
Two regulatory and engineering forces dominate the next decade of vehicle development. EU Regulation 2019/631 caps fleet-average CO2emissions, with penalties of EUR 95 per gram per vehicle above target. At the same time, Level 3+ autonomous platforms depend on optical sensors — LIDAR, cameras, head-up displays — whose performance is set by the coating chemistry on each glass and polycarbonate surface.
Kriya addresses both. Our antimony tin oxide (ATO) nanoparticle dispersions block near-infrared solar radiation in laminated windshields and EV battery enclosures, recovering cabin comfort and battery range without changing OEM tooling. Our PFAS-free anti-reflective stack lifts transmission at the specific wavelengths LIDAR systems use, suppresses ghost images in HUD projection, and survives the full automotive ageing protocol including post-paint oven cycles.
The two clusters share a chemistry backbone, a manufacturing footprint in Nuth, the Netherlands, and a Tier-1 qualification track record — so an OEM that engages Kriya for one platform can extend to the other without a second vendor qualification.

Thermal management
Solar Heat Control & EV Range
ATO nanoparticle dispersions for PVB interlayers, window film, and sol-gel coatings. Up to 9 °C cabin cooling, 35% AC power reduction, validated 0.2–0.3% haze, 100% RF/LiDAR transparency. Direct lever on EU CO2 penalty exposure and EV range extension.
Optics & sensors
HUD, LIDAR & ADAS Sensor Coatings
Anti-ghosting HUD windshield coatings and broadband AR optimised for 905, 940, 1310 and 1550 nm. Up to 4.7% transmission gain per LIDAR surface. Two integration routes: spray on finished sensor cover, or laminated film. Tier-1 ageing protocol passed.

Solar Heat Control
How ATO nanoparticles absorb the near-infrared half of the solar spectrum while leaving visible transmission and 5G/RF/LiDAR signals untouched.

EU CO2 Penalty Impact
The 2025 and 2030 fleet targets, the eco-innovation credit pathway, and the EUR 76 million per g/km rule-of-thumb for a high-volume OEM.
Optics
HUD Anti-Ghosting
How a graded-index interlayer eliminates the secondary windshield reflection that creates the offset ghost image in head-up displays.
