Simulate edge-lit backlight illumination: ray propagation through a light guide plate with extraction features, computing luminance uniformity across the panel.

2D ray trace for display backlight design. Model edge-coupled LED light propagating through a light guide plate via TIR. Add extraction features (prisms, dots) and coatings. Compute output luminance uniformity and total extraction efficiency. Evaluate the impact of Kriya surface coatings on LGP performance.
