Cure Shrinkage Calculator

Estimate dry-film thickness, volumetric loss, and density-increase factor from cure shrinkage of the chosen chemistry family.

Wet films contract during cure — sol-gel networks 10–15%, hybrids 5–10%, UV-curable acrylates 3–7%, 100% solids around 1%. The calculator takes wet film thickness and chemistry family (which auto-fills a typical shrinkage you can override), and returns the dry thickness, volume lost, and the density-increase factor implied by mass conservation. Useful before locking a slot-die gap or Mayer bar number.
