For regions characterized by an arid but hot climate with brackish water resources, we developed a masterbatch  as a drop in solution for  plastic manufacturers. Near Infrared selective inorganic pigment can be incorporated into a “standard” greenhouse film. The film lowers the heat build-up due to filtering NIR and simultaneously allows necessary PAR growth light to pass through, without using additional energy or water resources. Upon request, the amount of heat management can be adapted.
